Colorado School District: Gotta Pay To Ride Schoolbus!

Families in Douglas County, Colorado’s third largest school district, are being told that they will have to pay 50 cents per child, per ride, on the schoolbuses!  This new program will affect 17,000 children.  The school spends more than they bring in and so now parents who already spend good chunks of tax dollars to send their children to these public schools are now being forced to cough up even more!

Why don’t these schools buckle down and do what the rest of America is forced to do when we see that WE have more going out than we have coming in… but it seems these two words send ripples of horror down the backs of school adminstrations… CUT SPENDING!
