New RNC Ad Slams Obama On Oil Response: Why Didn’t You Pick Up the Phone?

by Brittany Pounders on June 17, 2010

A GREAT ad, brought to you by the RNC, opens Obama’s schedule over the last 2 months since the oil spill and highlights exactly what he’s been doing with his time.  And it’s practically narrated by Matt Lauer and James Carville.  Who has time to call the CEO of BP when you have golf, family vacations, golf, concerts, golf, fundraisers, meet with Bono, golf, Paul McCartney concert, date night…oh, and golf.

I keep hearing, even in the liberal media, his lack of emotion.  That’s apparent.  Nobody is asking to see him cry.  But it would be nice to know that he at least cared a bit.

By the way, the ending is fabulous!

I hate the finger pointing as an excuse for bad behavior, but even your last post is not a realistic comparison. Bush and a bombing in a foreign country vs. Obama and a domestic disaster are hardly similar.

The best comparison you can make is Bush & Katrina. However, you would have to admit that despite the mistakes made (mostly at the local and state level) the problem was being addressed by Bush before Day 1, whereas it took Obama 9 days after Day 1 before he commented he has been on it since "Day 1"

The very obvious difference is that a president can work from his "presidential retreat" and a ranch, where he had an entire office and complete operating capabilities. A president, on the other hand, cannot work while swinging a golf club, going on date night, family vacations, swinging more golf clubs, sitting among an audience to take in a concert or few… let's draw a realistic comparison, please.

A more realistic comparison then:
