Senator Arlen Specter has already been thrown under the bus by his constituents in the primaries, but are rumors in Washington saying that the Obama Administration might lend a hand for his support on bills that have been close calls.
According to ABC News sources, Specter has been told that the White House will look out for a job opening should he decide to stay in public service after his term is up. This has Republicans keeping a close eye on his voting record:
Talk of such a job, however, has raised eyebrows among Specter’s Republican Senate colleagues, who are now eyeing his votes with added scrutiny. For instance, Specter seemed not particularly impressed with Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, whose nomination as solicitor general Specter opposed last year. This week, he announced support for her Supreme Court nomination.
Specter has already done enough damage to this country with his pandering to White House agenda. Getting recycled from a slimy politician to a bureaucrat is not what America needs. So please Mr. Specter, just go home and stay there!
