It is too soon to celebrate, but California Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has taken a 5 point lead over Barbara Boxer.
CBS 5 reports that their poll found Fiorina leading Boxer 47% to 42%. The poll did not indicate specifically that Fiorina increased ground among the various demographic categories, but that Boxer lost ground among men, independents, and young voters.
The poll results indicated Fiorina’s support was essentially unchanged among men and women, young and old, white and Hispanic while Boxer had lost small ground among men, younger voters, and independents.
On that same note, the poll shows that Fiornia tripled her lead in the Central Valley area, moving from 7 points to 21 points in one month!
The poll also showed Fiorina tripling her lead in the Central Valley, from seven points one month ago to 21 points in this latest poll.
I am typically a little skeptical of polls. Take them for what they are worth, but if the trend of this one plays out for the next 80 days there will be smiles on many California conservative faces.
