Governor Christie is not only saving New Jersey money, he is saving lives!
I like this guy more and more every day. He isn’t Jesus, but when it comes to a politician Governor Christie is about as close as it gets for me to say “You’re the man!” While others resort to sly political rhetoric, Christie has no problem with telling you like it is regardless of how painful the news may be (specifically with the NJ budget crisis). He has pissed off every single liberal, the unions, and many weak or establishment Republicans. And the best thing about it all is the people are starting to love him for it!
The latest thing to get run over by Governor Christie’s mission to save New Jersey from going the way of California is a Planned Parenthood facility in southern NJ. Christie eliminated $7.5 million in public funds for Planned Parenthood in the state, but Democrats responded with a 30-10 vote to counter-mandate that decision. That should have been veto proof, but when it came back to the Senate weak Republicans folded and the bill failed 23-17. Christie won, Democrats lost, and babies will live! From Life News:
After the New Jersey state Senate defeated an attempt to override the decision of Gov. Chris Christie to cut off state taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood abortion businesses, the first facility run by the national abortion giant is closing.
The Cherry Hill Courier Post newspaper says a Planned Parenthood facility located on Haddonfield Road and operated by Planned Parenthood of Southern New Jersey will close down.
PP-SNJ stands to lose as much as $160,000 in taxpayer funds because of Christie’s decision and the upholding of his veto. With the closing of the Cherry Hill center, Planned Parenthood customers seeking abortions or other “services” must go to PP centers in Camden, Bellmawr, and Edgewater Park.
A leader like Christie is exactly what America needs right now. Honest with a firm hand and unwavering to the powers of government that resist the change that is needed. He has repeatedly said he has no interested in running for President, but even George Washington was a reluctant leader. Either way, God Bless you Governor Christie!
