Gov. Christie Gets Face To Face With Heckler (video)

It hasn’t been 24 hours since I read the last exiting news about Gov. Christie.

Showing support for Meg Whitman in her bid for governor of California, Gov. Christie showed California how he handles business in New Jersey: straight up and in your face.

This first video shows Gov. Christie talking about his meeting with firefighters, who he told “You may hate me now, but ten years from now you’ll be looking on the internet for my home address to send me a thank you note.”

And then a heckler jumps in, shouting at Whitman.  Christie responds by saying:  “Hey, listen. You know what. You want to yell, yell at me. It’s people who raise their voices and yell and scream like you who are dividing this country. We’re here to bring this country together.”

Allahpundit has it right, “Another two or three more viral hits like this, I figure, and he’ll be nominated next year whether he wants to be or not.”

h/t to Hot Air and The Right Scoop for the videos.

So why would anyone who believes in liberty cheer for a governor whose stated goal is to take away freedoms from a given group of people? I don't understand it. Can someone explain this contradiction?

The right to bargain collectively is just that. It's the right to band together and negotiate as a team. Not some insidious attempt at subversion.
