On Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden told Minnesota Democrats that if Republicans keep complaining about balancing the budget he would “strangle them.”
Biden is known for his gaffes, so this should not be too surprising. From Politico:
“We know how to create jobs,” he said at a fundraiser in St. Paul for Mark Dayton, who is running for governor. “And we know how to balance the budget.”
He continued, “If I hear one more Republican tell me about balancing the budget, I am going to strangle them.”
“To the press, that’s a figure of speech,” he added, according to the pool report.
Arguing that the Bush administration left office with a $1.3 trillion deficit, Biden said the last president to balance the budget was Bill Clinton.
“So I like to remind my Republican friends that we know how to balance the budget,” he said.
Financial woes can add stress to any ‘Average Joe’ , but Biden should not take it the problems he helped create on Republicans. If he knows how to balance the budget, perhaps he should come up with plan to do so instead of bragging about the ability to do so. I suggest taking advise from the Center for Freedom and Prosperity on how to do it without raising taxes on anyone. Warning though, it will involve spending cuts!
