There must be no excuses this go around! I don’t care if it’s raining with torrential winds- grab an umbrella and get out anyways! I don’t care if you have a stomach ache– man up! Cancel your appointments, if you must. Go on your lunch break, if you must. Take a day off from work, if you must. Take your children with you or leave them with a sitter– just get out and vote!
It’s time for the American people to get up off the couches and let their voices be heard. Those of us who have screamed at our televisions, forwarded the angry emails, foamed at the mouth at the news, felt completely disheartened and devastated at the changes we see happening within our country, saw life as we know it change before our eyes with Obamacare, watched our kids grow more indebted to their government each day Pelosi, Reid and Obama stay in office, observed the eroding away of our Constitutional rights and liberties, cannot…and I repeat CANNOT…stay home on election day.
Many of you have already voted. I have. My hat is off to you. For those of you, for whatever reason, did not vote during early voting, you MUST make sure you vote on Election Day. There is no excuse worthy of staying home and sitting this one out. We have a call to action, unlike any we’ve seen before in our lifetime. You can make excuses or you can make changes. And it’s time to make some changes.
President Obama loves to taunt the growing portion of Americans who are like us, angry at the direction that he is taking our country. He stands up with arrogance and teases us as he did in August:
President Obama attended a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at the same Atlanta hotel. Obama delivered a revved-up version of the stump speech that he has given in recent weeks — and that you will no doubt be hearing throughout the fall. The president said the Republican Party lack one “single, solitary new idea” and are “betting on amnesia” to help them in November. During a bit that drew hearty laughs from the Democratic audience, he likened the GOP to a driver who has gone into a ditch, and after not helping to push the car out, demands the keys back.
“You can’t have the keys back,” Obama exclaimed. “You don’t know how to drive!“
His arrogance is unstoppable, even as his approval ratings plunge down the toilet and his mouth goes on overdrive. He continues with this mantra on October 25th:
Now that progress has been made, he said, “we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”
Ignoring the shock factor of the first black President to invoke such a racial reference in what is now supposed to be a post-racial world due to his election to the presidency, I do need to point one thing… I don’t know if you realize it, President Obama, but the back of the bus is getting mighty crowded and it’s beginning to look like there might be more of us than there are of you.
America, this is your chance to stand up and speak out. It’s now or never. Put up or shut up.
