Repeal It, Defund It, Then Fix It

We the people are very appreciative that our newly elected Representatives heard us and voted to repeal ObamaCare in the House.  Now an up or down vote to repeal ObamaCare must occur in the Senate.  If the American people keep up the pressure on Harry Reid, “we the people” will compel him to bow to that pressure.  We demand an up or down vote to repeal ObamaCare in the Senate and will continue to pressure our elected officials in the Senate to hear the will of “we the people”.  This is still priority number one.

The next priority is to defund the law’s implementation.  We expect to see the House respond to this part of the will of “we the people”.  This is easily argued in light of the budget deficit which has ballooned out of sight under Democrat control of the House and thus the budgeting process.  This is priority number two for “we the people”.  Cut spending of everything in sight and with axes and chain saws not pairing knives.  So we expect to see ObamaCare defunded and now!

ObamaCare has not delivered on its promises.  Health care premiums are going up not down at numerous insurers with even up to a 59% increase from a non profit insurer like Blue Cross and Blue Shield!   A Thompson Reuters survey found 65% of physicians believe quality of care will deteriorate under ObamaCare.  Additionally, 74% of the doctors believe the changes will make their reimbursement less fair.  See survey here.    Then, according to documents posted online by the Department of Health and Human Services, over 221 unions, corporations, and nonprofits have asked for health care reform waivers from annual limit requirements to stop massive policy cancellations and rate hikes affecting over 1.5 million workers.  This does not sound like a robust bill to fix the health care system of the United States of America.  Web sites for the waivers and bulletin respectively are here and here.  We the people were promised otherwise and deserve better!

ObamaCare will deteriorate choice and quality as known prior to signing of the bill.  This is the most compelling reason to scrap Obama Care.  The United States had the best health care system in the world with continuing new advances in numerous medical fields.  Yes there are some problems like portability, coverage for preexisting conditions, tort reform and insurance policy competition nationally among others.  These are much smaller fixes than the gargantuan ObamaCare shell which government bureaucrats get to fill in the details over the next few years.  We the people deserve better!

ObamaCare will cost the industry jobs and will cause the Federal deficit to increase.  While the Congressional Budget office indicated that ObamaCare would cut the deficit, it is constrained to the information in the bill. There was double counting’s of the savings and other significant costs that were left out and later added, in other bills like the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act.   The Obama administration’s own Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) indicated that spending projections would increase by 311 billion dollars over the next decade.  Bottom line, ObamaCare will increase the Federal deficit as has every other entitlement program in the history of the USA.  Today the USA is BROKE! And the sooner we understand what this truly means the better for our country.  We the people deserve better!

The constitutionality of ObamaCare will be sorted out shortly in the courts.  Clearly health care is not discussed in the Constitution and the 10th amendment instructs that this is not to be part of the federal government’s purview.  The government of the United States is established by the people not by the elites!  We the people gave certain powers to the Federal government and the rest belongs to the states.  We the people wanted a limited government at the Federal level with few and defined powers as per the US Constitution.  Now 27, or a majority of the states, have mounted constitutional challenges to ObamaCare.   This is further testimony that this bill in not for the good of we the people of the United States of America.  We the people deserve better!

We the people are determined to take our country back from those who are out to destroy what the founding fathers in all their wisdom established.  Under this form of government the United States, at the turn of the 20th century, was producing nearly 50% of the world’s goods and became the mightiest military power on the face of the earth after WWII.  But polices from Wilson, Hoover and Roosevelt onward have caused the USA to decline form a creditor nation to the largest debtor nation the world has ever seen.  We need to adopt the principles in the US Constitution broadly and deeply into every sector of America so America can once again be fiscally responsible and the beacon of liberty, freedom and hope for the world.  We the people deserve better!

I hope you join me voicing your opinion(s) to elected officials at all levels of government so we can have the government that our founding fathers designed and served us so well.
