NAACP Silent On Racism At Code Pink Anti-Capitalism Protest

The NAACP’s bias could not be more apparent.

You might think an organization  that is incredibly sensitive about racism and rhetoric that may promote racism such as the NAACP would be proactive in calling it out wherever it exists. That would make sense, but it wouldn’t exactly help the NAACP’s progressive agenda.

Last week I posted an article covering the peaceful progressive anti-capitalism protest.  Organized by Code Pink, a supposed peace group, the rally’s anger and hate was all too obvious.  Luckily,  Breitbart was around to get the protesters true feelings about conservatives on film.

In Breitbart’s video Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas became the crowd’s a favorite target.  The Daily Caller covers the NAACP’s response to attacking the sole black Supreme Court Justice:

In response to The Daily Caller’s request for comment on a video showing progressive protesters calling for somebody to “string up” African American Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, or “send him back into the fields” or “cut off all his toes and feed them to him one-by-one,” NAACP spokesman Hilary Shelton pointed to the organization’s recent resolution calling for a “civil political discourse.”

“Last summer, the NAACP passed a resolution calling for a civil political discourse,” Shelton said in an e-mail to TheDC. “We continue to call on all Americans to abandon vitriolic language. It serves as a distraction from the real issues our society need to address and distorts the challenges we as Americans have to confront to make our nation greater still.”

Shelton would not, however, address the content of the video directly.

Flashback:  Last summer the NAACP went out of its way to pass a resolution condemning non-existent racism in the tea party.
