Scott Brown Opposes Cutting Federal Funds To Planned Parenthood

I’m not sure why he doesn’t just change his last name to Kennedy.  At least take the Conservative bumper stickers off your truck, Scott!

WASHINGTON — US Senator Scott Brown opposes a House Republican plan to cut all federal funding for Planned Parenthood, the womens’ health service provider, and today urged budget negotiators to reach a compromise.

“I support family planning and health services for women,” Brown, a Bay State Republican, said in a statement. “Given our severe budget problems, I don’t believe any area of the budget is completely immune from cuts. However, the proposal to eliminate all funding for family planning goes too far. As we continue with our budget negotiations, I hope we can find a compromise that is reasonable and appropriate.”

Some throw the question out- “would you rather have Martha Coakley?”  I think I might even say yes to that.  I’d rather have a wolf in wolf’s clothing rather than dressed up like a lamb.  Even if you believe in the right to abortion (although clearly our Constitution defines our right as being one to LIFE), as a Republican, you should never feel that the government should fund the practice or the institution.

My opinion?  If we are going to have a liberal in Kennedy’s old seat…they might as well have a D by their name.
