No Easter Proclamation From Obama

After all, Easter isn’t as important as the other occasions that President Obama has recognized in the past.

Would you like to read the list of events Obama must find more important?  Courtesy of The DC, here is a list of the most recent Presidential Proclamations:

April 22 — Earth Day

April 14 — Education and Sharing Day

April 10 — National Equal Pay Day

April 7 — National Volunteer Week

March 31 — National Financial Literacy Month

March 30 — Cesar Chavez Day

March 24 — 100th Anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire

March 24 — Greek Independence Day: A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy

March 16 — 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy

January 31 — National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month

March 4 — Save Your Vision Week

December 21 — Stalking Awareness Month

Maybe the President was too busy celebrating Easter with his family.  That is Press Secretary Jay Carney’s excuse at least – as he tries to laugh off the question during a press conference.
