Mitch Daniels To Defund Indiana Planned Parenthood

Many in the conservative arena look at Mitch Daniels and when considering him for as a presidential candidate just shrug and brush him off. He’s not been known to be very strong on the conservative issues, especially the social conservative issues and tends to fall in line with the RINO establishment.  However, he’s about to sign a bill that will have Planned Parenthood, the raging leftist, and the wimpy-moderate RINO’s all foaming together at the mouth.  Yet, it just might make true conservatives sit up and be willing to take another look at him.  Regardless of his intentions, I give a resounding cheer from the Constitutional Conservative section for this move!

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels said today he will sign a controversial bill that cuts off government funding to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Indiana will become the first state to take such action.

“I supported this bill from the outset, and the recent addition of language guarding against the spending of tax dollars to support abortions creates no reason to alter my position,” said Daniels, a Republican.

The governor is currently weighing whether to run for president next year. Daniels has drawn fire for saying there should be “a truce on the so-called social issues until the economic crisis is resolved.”

Daniels said he expects to sign the Indiana bill in the next week or so.

The Indiana legislation would cut $3 million in federal money to Planned Parenthood that the state distributes for family planning and women’s health programs. The bill also bans abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy unless the life of the woman is threatened.

That pretty much seals any vote I have against him. So many incompetent parents in this state unwilling or unable to mind and educate their kids, so many women needing help and advice beyond "God says have kids", so many accidents and lives ruined, so many stupid people having stupid babies, and Mitch here wants to force women to breed against their will at any opportunity. How is this even legal?

Did you know that Planned Parenthood has been engaged in illegal activity –such as not reporting cases of rape of minors, covering for pips who entice girls as young as 14 or 15 into prostitution? It's all about money–they make money on abortions. The number of abortions done by PP has been increasing while their other services are declining. There are other places for women to get "family planning services," How can we as a nation conscientiously fund an organization that is involved in illegal activity that hurt our nation's teen? I herald Mitch Daniel's courage to stand for what is right. He made this decision after he investigated that family planning services are still available to women in need.
God wants us to have children within the boundary of a loving relationship of a man and women committed to one other and their family. Children don't ruin our lives–people ruin their own lives by making unwise irresponsible choices.
