I find Congressman Ellison so offensive on a multitude of levels. In fact, instead of having to listen to this very short clip I think I would almost rather choose to tear of my fingernails one by one. Congressman Keith Ellison is no stranger to controversy, insanity, or downright sexism and stupidity. In fact, he’s been in the news recently commenting on our borders:
Congressman Ellison goes on to mention that America is guided by “equity, generosity, and engagement.” He is right about that point, but he continued that thought by saying that “those philosophical ideas create safe borders.”
Congressman Keith Ellison has been promoting the very open borders utopia that George Soros and his Open Society Institute minions are fighting for. And according to Ellison, “God willing one day the border will become an irrelevancy.” And so will be the safety it provides!
I divert from the real issue currently at hand to give you a point of reference for my very personal accusations leveled directly at the Congressman.
Today, however, is a new day and a new opportunity for stupid. In this particular clip, Ellison uses his moment to bash Conservatives with very bizarre accusations saying:
“These same people who want to shrink government until you can drown it in the bathtub…uh, also want mom to get back in the kitchen and take her shoes off and get pregnant. They are offended by strong powerful women. And here is the sad part- some of them are women themselves. Michelle Bachmann can be an example.”
Now, I find this offensive on a many levels.
First on the list, being that pregnant and the kitchen is somehow a horrible thing. Forgive me for wondering, but women must be pregnant to keep the earth populated. And explain to me why it is bad thing if many of those women choose to put their careers aside for a short time while they focus their time and attention on things that might be perhaps a bit more meaningful– such as little humans who are the future of this country.
Second, I would dare to throw out the suggestion that Michelle Bachmann might be more of a woman than any other woman within the Ellison field of familiarity. I personally can’t name many women who raise 23 children, have a dynamic career, and go on to successfully tackle local, state, and national politics.
I thought liberals were all over the notion of “choice.” So, why do they constantly denigrate and disrespect those who pursue different “choices” from theirs? Where are all the hairy feminazis to comment on this? I hear a deafening silence from that corner of the room. Clearly, they only support strong women who “do it all”…if they aren’t Conservatives.
I find Ellison disgusting. And I say that as a strong, passionately opinionated, thoroughly informed woman who also happens to frequently work in her kitchen, often without her shoes, and who happens to be…pregnant!
