Paula Deen And Her ‘Evil Corporations’

I love Paula Deen!  Her accent can wear on me at times but I love that in this Moochelle Obama age of foodie political correctness, that she is not afraid to cook with a stick of butter and throw in an extra stick just for good measure!  Her food is absolutely yummy and if you are on a diet with a “splurge day” you get your recipes that day from a Paula Deen cookbook!

However, even Paula Deen and her butter can’t escape the ridiculous liberals.

Celebrity chef Paula Deen is as sweet as a tall glass tea. But she showed a spicy side Friday when she responded to criticism from fellow chef Anthony Bourdain.

Bourdain recently blasted Deen to TV Guide, saying Deen “revels in unholy connections with evil corporations and she’s proud of the fact that her food is ******* bad for you … plus, her food sucks.” He also called her the “worst, most dangerous person in America.”

Deen responded to Bourdain’s charges on Fox Friday morning, saying she was “shocked,“ and wondered if it was a ”publicity thing“ or if maybe ”“somebody had just peed in his bowl of cereal that morning.”

She also thought it was ridiculous to blast “evil corporations,” saying that those connections have allowed her to do a plethora of charity work. Deen echoed those sentiments to the New York Post.

“You don’t have to like my food, or Rachael’s, Sandra‘s and Guy’s. But it’s another thing to attack our character,” she told The Post. “I wake up every morning happy for where I am in life. It’s not all about the cooking, but the fact that I can contribute by using my influence to help people all over the country. In the last two years, my partners and I have fed more than 10 million hungry people by bringing meat to food banks.”

Her advice to Bourdain the next time he’s asked a provocative question? “Some things are just best left unsaid,” she advised.

I’d love to hold up Deen’s charitable giving records right next to Anthony-Who.

I don’t know how you came to the conclusion that “ridiculous liberals” are attacking Paula Deen, but then again, maybe Bourdain is in on a political conspiracy that we ‘normal people’ are unaware of…or maybe you just have a personal grudge against MSNBC. In any case, I can’t help but agree with AB. Deen may donate food, but it’s loaded with ingredients that unhealthy and that contribute to a *ahem* growing problem in America (or is that a liberal conspiracy too?) Beggars can’t really be choosers, so what homeless person would say, “I’m not eating that sh*t, it’ll kill me!”? I mean, come on, only a misanthropist would think of making fried butter balls or suggest that kids eat cheesecake for breakfast; Planned Parenthood could learn something from this woman.

As for being affiliated with “evil corporations”, well, do any amount of research on Smithfield, and if you have a social conscience you’ll see that any morally responsible person would think twice before associating themselves with this organization. Just a little food for thought ; )
