Constitution Day Cancelled At High School Due To Liberal Complaints

We all know that in order for liberals to make headway with their agenda in this country the Constitution of the United States of America has to be discarded and dismissed.  And, one of the best ways to do that is to make sure that the next generation of students don’t understand, don’t appreciate the value, and don’t realize that it was the contract that made us the most incredible nation in the world in an amazingly short amount of time.  What was accomplished with this country because of the power of this document is nothing short of miraculous.

However, progressives despise the liberty, the personal and individual freedom, the restrained government, the freedoms of religion, the freedoms of speech that this document promises to the citizens of this country.  Therefore, finding a way to discredit the message along with the messengers is key and this is a lesson they have learned well.

Conservatives in Georgia are outraged that a speaker’s Constitution Day presentation was canceled at a local high school after complaints from Democrats.

The reason behind the complaints is that Mark Fritz, the man who volunteered to do the presentation to the students during the week of Sept. 17, is a member of the local tea party.

Pickens County High Principal Eddie McDonald eventually agreed to stop Fritz from speaking after being bombarded with emails and phone calls, he said.

McDonald told the Pickens County Progress that he had no problem with the presentation at first because Fritz pledged not to mention the tea party movement or speak from a partisan perspective. He also previewed an outline of his address with school officials.

“We were okay with that,” McDonald said, “but there were a group of people that got word of it, and I was bombarded with calls and emails.”

An outline of Fritz’s presentation obtained by The Daily Caller shows no mention of the tea party movement.

Federal law requires schools that receive federal money to have such a program during the week of Constitution Day.

David Robinson, the leader of the Democratic Party of Pickens County, told the newspaper, “Our main problem with him was that he had no qualifications to speak other than personal opinions he had.”

Eric Gray, the communications director for the Democratic Party of Georgia, told the superintendent of the school system in an email that Democrats are “concerned about the partisan nature of this event.”

“I’m sure you’ll agree that presenting an ‘expert’ on the Constitution with no formal schooling in the subject other than his ties to a political party is problematic,” Gray said.

One outraged conservative Georgian who has been keeping the issue alive is Martha Zoller, a Republican congressional candidate who has been discussing the conflict on her radio show.

“Can’t citizens be experts on the constitution?” Zoller said. “Isn’t that what we’re called to do?”
The problems that Liberals have with free speech is that it allows Conservatives with opposing views also to speak and in this case, perhaps you would also like your voice to be heard on the matter.  If you would like to respectfully state your opinion to Principle Eddie McDonald his email is and the phone number to the school is (706) 253-1800.

It’s time for the Silent Majority not to be so silent.

Pickens County, Georgia is about as white conservative as you can get in these United States. This "Principal Eddie McDonald" is either from somewhere else(outside Pickens County) or he is a total, abject coward. Blame him, not the squawking liberals who screech about everything.

Simply put – the school had an agreement from the Tea Party speaker that he would not mention the Tea Party…they had an outline of his remarks and were fine with it. So the school administrators should have the gonads to tell the phone callers to take a hike…

Socialist don't like any country that has a Constitution. They, like O'Bama, like people that will "blindly follow" without questioning. Some thing like telling Congress to pass O'Bama Care NOW and read it later. And like O'Bama, Socialist want every aspect of daily life dictated by their Leadership (or lack of leadership).

Citizens can certainly be experts on the Constitution, but I'd want a speaker at a High School to have some kind of bona fides in the area. Doesn't have to be a degree etc., but I wouldn't want this to be his first public engagement on the subject. Is Mark Fritz and expert on the Constitution?

Mark Fritz is a community organizer and if that qualifies Obama for the presidency I would certainly say that it qualifies someone to give a lowdown on the Constitution.
