Euro Pacific Capital CEO Peter Schiff took a big risk of taking on disease and filth by walking down among the OWS Protestors with a suit on instead of a bubble. But, I admire him for putting a few of these non-thinking, free-loaders on the spot with a few tough questions of his own. It was hard for him to get a word in edgewise with the shrilly woman in his face who kept screaming that he should be “doing his fair share”- but eventually he silenced her into confusion by saying, “I employ 150 people. How many do you employ?…I’m probably paying more income taxes than everyone around me combined. So, I’m paying more than my fair share right now and picking up the slack for a lot of people.”
Clearly, these people can’t define their beliefs on taxes, government, entrepreneurship any further than simply holding their hands out screaming for a piece of what others have risked and poured their blood, sweat and tears to build.
