The Audience At The Emmy’s CHEER Romney?

I didn’t watch the Emmy’s as I generally have better things to do than watch television award themselves.  It’s usually worth a flip past to catch a funny line here and there- but I have to admit, I’m glad I got to catch this part!

As taken back as I was by this moment, I can only imagine the horror that Jimmy Kimmel was feeling, as he felt his prepared joke souring before it even left his mouth.

“I will admit that Downton Abbey is an amazing show– there is so much meticulous attention to detail.  It’s not the kind of show I typically watch, but it really gives you a sense of what it must have been like to grow up in Mitt Romney’s house….Are any of you voting for Mitt Romney?”

The crowd erupts in a startling amount of enthusiastic cheers and whistles- leaving Kimmel with a script that he didn’t know quite what to do with.  Yet, he stuck to his party line and ended up looking pretty foolish.  I’m thinking he should have put that up for a second and third vote.  What say you?

Class warfare isn't working even in Hollywood. I'm sure they are just as alarmed at the "you're not doing your fair share and you didn't build it" rhetoric as the rest of us peons.
