She rose to national fame and attention with a catheter, running shoes and…championing the savage slaughter of unborn children and going so far as to support late term abortions, otherwise known as infanticide. Liberals all over the country cheered her chaotic, mob-like filibuster while hysterically screeching that the GOP was engaged in a “War on Women” for expecting abortion restrictions to include banning late term abortions, expecting them to be performed by a doctor, and in a facility that resembled something cleaner than a vet’s clinic.
However, the credit card with which the War on Women has been spent seems to be coming back lately as declined. In fact, there are a few indications recently that prove women aren’t falling for this nonsense anymore and are beginning to wake up and think with something more than just their “lady parts”. More importantly, statistics are showing that America is becoming more pro-life and realizing that tiny women in the womb are as equally as important as those who escape it out alive and unharmed. This from a recent poll from Gallup:
“The 41% of Americans who now identify themselves as “pro-choice” is down from 47% last July and is one percentage point below the previous record low in Gallup trends, recorded in May 2009. Fifty percent now call themselves “pro-life…”
Combine those numbers with the fact that the recent race for Governor in Virginia, in which the liberals tried so desperately hard to turn into a “war on women sideshow,” while the liberal McAuliffe won the race– Cuccinelli beat McAuliffe by 9 points among married women and the other candidate took another 7 points from him. Clearly, this war on women nonsense is losing it’s gas.
That being recognized, it was still infuriating to pro-lifers all over the nation when Wendy Davis had the audacity to come out this week and say:
I am pro-life. I care about the life of every child: every child that goes to bed hungry, every child that goes to bed without a proper education, every child that goes to bed without being able to be a part of the Texas dream, every woman and man who worry about their children’s future and their ability to provide for that future. I care about life and I have a record of fighting for people above all else.
Davis continued, “When I believe women’s health is in danger, I’m going to stand and fight to protect that. This isn’t about protecting abortion,” she deflected. “It’s about protecting women. It’s about trusting women to make good decisions for themselves and empowering them with the tools to do that.”
Wendy Davis, if you were ever challenged to back up what you say with researchable facts you would already know statistics show that only 1-5% of abortions performed are due to health or well-being of the mother.
Nationally, 82% of women obtaining abortions are unmarried. These statistics strongly suggest abortion is used primarily as birth control.
This little switcheroo is a desperate ploy to remake her Abortion Barbie image. She, along with Gosnell, are two of the most well-known mascots representing jars full of bloody fetuses and she’s realized that that has quite possibly placed her on the fringe…where the vast majority of voters do not hang out.
However, while pro-lifers are enraged that she is trying to suddenly squeeze her little arse onto our bench – the rabid, foaming at the mouth pro-aborts must be in a frenzy of anger themselves. And they should be. They placed her in this game as their superstar and now she’s trying on jerseys for the other team.
Progressives, you have been betrayed. Wendy Davis sold you out and is in this game for herself. She puts the sleaze in the politician. Remember that when you go to vote.
