Giant Hypocrisy: Obama, EPA Chief, And Earth Day

Giant Hypocrisy: Obama, EPA Chief, And Earth Day Image

Liberals live in a world of do as I say, not as I do.  This in regards to how they eat, how they give to charity, how they pay their taxes, and on down to the size of their carbon footprint.  They live in a media protected bubble that never shines the spotlight on the glaring hypocrisy behind everything that they preach.

The latest being Earth Day.  In the typical progressive fashion of do as I say, not as a I do:

EPA chief administrator Gina McCarthy will be traveling to five cities this week as part of its Earth Week tour to “ask Americans to act on climate change through simple actions to reduce carbon pollution in their daily lives.” But PEER argues that such a tour would emit tons of carbon dioxide emissions which they say contributes to global warming.

According to PEER, the carbon dioxide emissions generated McCarthy and the EPA during her week-long tour “will far exceed any concrete climate action from their travels.”

Ironically, the EPA’s tour that aims to teach people how to “commute without polluting” will be overshadowed by the fact that McCarthy and her entourage will travel by airplane and no doubt use large vehicles to transport themselves from place to place.

Going further, as Obama constantly preaches to us from his bully pulpit releasing this today from the White House:

Mid-morning Tuesday, the White House issued a sweeping online essay calling for renewed awareness of threats from global warming.

‘Our health, our economy, our security, and our planet’s future are once again threatened by pollution and environmental degradation,’ the White House’s official blog claimed.

Of course, this is released right before he jumps onto Air Force One:

President Barack Obama is marking the 44th Earth Day with a carbon-emitting extravaganza, spending more than 15 hours on Air Force One and 15 minutes aboard the Marine One helicopter.

Not including his motorcades in Oso, Washington, the site of a recent devastating mudslide, his trip will consume an estimated 35,565 gallons of fuel.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the statistics arm of the Department of Energy, burning each gallon emits 21.1 pounds of carbon dioxide, bringing the president’s Earth Day carbon footprint to more than 375.7 tons.

The White House did not respond to a question about any measures it might be taking – planting trees, for instance – to offset those emissions.

Add to that one last thing worth noting… The EPA Chief, Gina McCarthy, while railing against all of us peons, AKA American citizens, for leaving the water on while we brush our teeth, or using two-ply toilet paper, or driving something larger than a “smart car,” does this while she dares to jump on a plane and fly home almost every single weekend.  Using as much as 37.5 tons of carbon footprint from her airline travel alone- more than 3.5 times the average American’s yearly carbon footprint.

Let’s be honest…the “green movement” is nothing but a scam designed purely for the purpose of control, regulation, taxation, and global governance.  And, all of this as Al Gore continues to fly all over the world to sell his carbon credit scams and walk off with his big fat checks, laughing all the way to the bank.
